Vision Correction at Alexander Eye Institute
Dr. Alexander specializes in UltraSight laser vision correction, which is available exclusively at Alexander Eye Institute. UltraSight combines two of today's most sophisticated technologies the Allegretto Wave laser system and the IntraLase FS laser. Together, they make LASIK a bladeless, all-laser procedure that produces unsurpassed results. Almost all patients achieve near-perfect vision after UltraSight eliminating the need for corrective lenses and achieving vision that is crisper and sharper than they have ever experienced before, even with glasses.
During the UltraSight procedure, Dr. Alexander uses the IntraLase FS laser to create a flap in the cornea of the eye. He then uses the Allegretto Wave laser to sculpt the inner layer of the cornea based on the patient's individual pattern of vision, changing the shape of the cornea so that images come into focus clearly on the retina. Finally, the flap is returned to its original position. This approach offers the highest level of consistency, precision and safety available today. It also allows Dr. Alexander to effectively treat people with extremely strong corrective prescriptions who might not have been candidates for LASIK in the past.
In addition to UltraSight LASIK, Dr. Alexander offers PermaClear Sight Restoration, an advanced procedure for the treatment of presbyopia (age-related farsightedness). PermaClear Sight uses the "no-needle, no-stitch, no-patch" technique, which restores clear vision almost immediately.
