Wavefront LASIK allows each patient to be individually evaluated and treated with a customized laser profile during surgery. This customized approach improves the accuracy of LASIK and the overall quality of vision following surgery. To create the "corneal flap" Intralase is also offered to our patients. Intralase is the "bladeless" LASIK surgical procedure. Each patient is meticulously examined to determine the best option for vision correction.

Our office-based surgical suite is a climate-controlled and highly regulated state-of-the-art facility. The combination of the most advanced laser technology, the state-of-the-art surgical suite, and Dr. Parikh's extensive experience is why Advanced Ophthalmology Institute has LASIK results that rank in the top 1 percent in the United States.

In addition to LASIK, Advanced Ophthalmology Institute offers PRK and LASEK for laser vision correction. Dr. Parikh was one of the first surgeons in the San Diego area to offer LASEK. Also offered for vision correction are CK surgery (for presbyopia), INTACS (removable corneal inserts for the treatment of myopia and keratoconus), and the best technology Intraocular Lenses IOLs which can simultaneously correct near, intermediate, and distance vision.
