The surgeons of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center perform advanced cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses (IOLs). They begin the procedure by creating a small incision in the eye and carefully extracting the clouded lens. Then, they implant an accommodating Crystalens IOL, which flexes with the eyes' muscles to improve the patient's ability to change focus between near to distant objects.
In addition to being leading cataract surgery and LASIK Los Angeles specialists, Dr. Rabinowitz and Dr. Oleynikov offer Visian and Verisyse implantable collamer lenses (ICLs). These lenses are used to treat patients with severe myopia who do not qualify for LASIK surgery. During the procedure, the surgeons place an ICL in front of the eye's natural lens.
