Next, Dr. Rohr uses the advanced phacoemulsification technique to break up and extract the eye's clouded crystalline lens. The lens is then replaced with an artificial implant, which typically provides functional vision at multiple distances. Dr. Jeffrey S. Rohr, received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his medical degree from Des Moines University School of Medicine. Dr. Rohr then underwent fellowship training in refractive surgery at the Colorado Eye Institute and Michigan State University. Over the course of his career, Dr. Rohr has authored a number of peer-reviewed articles, and he routinely presents to other medical professionals in the field. He is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
