Cataract surgery with ReZoom, AcrySof ReSTOR and Crystalens in Miami, Bal Harbour and Aventura, Florida

William J. Rand, MD, and Robert S. Nagler, MD, are experienced eye surgeons with board certification in ophthalmology. Collectively, they have performed more than 40,000 eye surgeries. As an innovator in his field and leading cataract surgery specialist, Dr. Rand is co-inventor of the Rand-Stein analgesia protocol, a technique created to provide increased comfort to patients undergoing cataract surgery and LASIK. Dr. Rand is a recipient of the American Medical Association's "Physicians Recognition Award," which was bestowed upon him in recognition of his remarkable surgical record.

At Rand Eye Institute, the surgeons have extensive experience in several advanced cataract surgery techniques, including:

  • No-stitch
  • One-stitch
  • Extracapsular
  • Phacoemulsification
  • Self-sealing
  • Clear-cornea
  • Sclera-corneal incision
  • Pars plana

During cataract surgery, the surgeons make a tiny incision in the eye and carefully extract the cataract, which they then replace with a premium intraocular lens implant (IOL). They offer several IOLs, including ReSTOR, ReZoom and Crystalens.

Dr. Rand and Dr. Nagler also offer Visian implantable contact lenses (ICLs) for patients who are not eligible for LASIK surgery. These lenses are placed in front of the eyes' natural lenses to provide for clear vision.

Please contact Rand Eye Institute at (800) 806-3523 to schedule a one-on-one consultation with Ft. Lauderdale LASIK and cataract surgeons Dr. William Rand and Dr. Robert Nagler.
