Watch Dr. Pop discuss high-performance
lenses for cataract surgery.

Michel Pop, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon in Montréal. Using the latest techniques and advanced intraocular lenses, Dr. Pop and his team skillfully treat cataracts and restore clear, crisp vision. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Pop is a well-known lecturer and presenter in his field, and has published extensively on topics relating to cataract and refractive surgery. His work has appeared in publications such as Ophthalmology and the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Pop uses microsurgery techniques to decrease the risks associated with cataract surgery. To begin, he makes a tiny incision in the corner of the eye and uses ultrasound energy to break up the cataract-diseased crystalline lens. Dr. Pop then inserts an intraocular lens, positioning it and unfolding it over the eye. He offers intraocular lenses designed to meet a variety of vision needs.

Cataract surgery is not painful and lasts approximately 20 minutes. Many of Dr. Pop’s patients are able to free themselves entirely from their dependence on glasses and/or contact lenses.

In addition to cataract surgery, Dr. Pop performs LASIK, all-laser LASIK, PRK and corneal cross-linking treatments at his Montréal-based locations.

To schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Pop and learn more about your vision correction options, please contact his practice. You can reach our Montréal clinic at 514-381-2020 or our Gatineau clinic at 819-773-2020. The toll-free number to reach both locations is 1-800-661-6345.
