Serving patients seeking laser cataract surgery in the Silicon Valley, including San Jose and the surrounding area

Randal Pham, MD, MS, FACS, is a board-certified ophthalmologist treating cataracts in the Silicon Valley. At the Aesthetic and Refractive Surgery Medical Center, Dr. Pham and his team offer top-notch surgical care that includes the placement of premium intraocular lens implants (IOLs) to improve vision. Under Dr. Pham's confident leadership, the entire team provides exceptional customer service in a warm, welcoming environment.

Dr. Pham performs state-of-the-art laser cataract surgery with premium IOLs. He uses an advanced laser to make a tiny incision in the eye and directs the laser beam at the cataract-diseased lens. The laser energy gently breaks the lens into small pieces, and they are extracted from the eye. Then, Dr. Pham places a folded-up IOL through the same incision. He carefully positions it and unfolds it over the eye. The specific type of IOL used will depend on the patient's unique vision needs.

Cataract surgery is a virtually painless procedure performed under topical anesthesia. Patients are able to enjoy greater visual acuity after treatment and many are freed from dependence on glasses and contact lenses to perform everyday tasks.

In addition to cataract surgery, Dr. Pham offers LASIK laser vision correction surgery at his Silicon Valley eye care practice.
