Dr. Moore provides his patients a variety of options, including the accommodating Crystalens, which improve the patient's ability to change focus between objects at different distances, and the ReSTOR and ReZoom multifocal IOLs, which also treat nearsightedness and age-related farsightedness (presbyopia).

Jacob Moore, MD, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Emory University in Atlanta and a medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine in Dallas. Following medical school, Dr. Moore performed an ophthalmology internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was selected as Chief Resident for his final year.

As a result of his extensive knowledge, skill and experience, Dr. Moore has received several honors and has been published in numerous scientific journals. In addition, he has been inducted into some of the nation's most prestigious ophthalmology organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Texas Ophthalmological Association and the Texas Medical Association. He also serves as the Vice President of the Cameron County Medical Society.
