Jacob Moore, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has performed thousands of successful cataract eye surgeries over the course of his career. Using his extensive knowledge of the eye and the latest surgical techniques, Dr. Moore provides his patients with state-of-the-art, comprehensive eye care. Dr. Moore is an expert in cataract surgery and a renowned scholar whose research contributions have been recognized by his peers in the field of ophthalmology. As a testament to his outstanding surgical expertise, he has been featured as one of "America's Top Ophthalmologists" by the Consumers' Research Council of America.
Using the "no-needle, no-stitch, no-patch" method of cataract surgery, Dr. Moore creates a tiny, self-sealing incision in the cornea through which he removes and replaces the clouded lens with a premium intraocular lens implant (IOL). Dr. Moore provides his patients a variety of options, including the accommodating Crystalens, which improve the patient's ability to change focus between objects at different distances, and the ReSTOR and ReZoom multifocal IOLs, which also treat nearsightedness and age-related farsightedness (presbyopia).
In addition to cataract eye surgery, Dr. Moore is also a leading provider of LASIK, as well as a leader in the pursuit of advanced treatments for corneal disease; he is one of the first surgeons in Texas to use the sophisticated technique known as Descemet's stripping endothelial keratoplasty, or DSAEK. Dr. Moore and his team also offer eye examinations, glaucoma treatment, laser surgery for diabetes, macular degeneration treatment and Botox injections.
