Dr. Katzen specializes in the advanced "no-needle, no-stitch" technique of cataract surgery. With this method, he first numbs the eye with anesthetic eye drops and create a small incision. Then, he carefully extracts the clouded lens and replace it with a premium intraocular lens implant (IOL). The eye surgeons at Katzen Eye Care offer several types of high quality IOLs, including Crystalens, AcrySof ReSTOR and Tecnis Multifocal. The Crystalens IOL is an accommodating lens that moves with the eye's muscle, helping patients seamlessly change focus from near to distance objects. AcrySof ReSTOR and Tecnis IOLs are multifocal lenses that can improve patients' abilities to see both near and far.
Dr. Katzen also offers Visian implantable collamer lenses (ICL). This state-of-the-art lens is placed in front of the eye's natural lens to treat myopia. In addition, he is a highly skilled LASIK surgeon who performs the advanced IntraLase and CustomVue techniques of laser eye surgery.Email the Surgeon
