Charles Moore, MD, FICS, is the founder and Medical Director of International EyeCare. After earning his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, he went to medical school at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Moore served in the United States Army as a captain and flight surgeon. He served as an investigator in the early safety trials of LASIK, and played an important role in getting the surgery approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Moore has also been involved in wavefront LASIK investigation for 12 years. He has trained ophthalmologists around the world, and frequently speaks at national and international ophthalmologic association meetings. Dr. Moore has published material about lens implants, ocular surface and refractive surgery. He is the National Medical Advisor of Wavelight, a leading German laser manufacturer that awarded him their Global Ambassador Award, and is the National Medical Director of Intermedics, Inc.

Last year Dr. Moore traveled to Kuwait with a team of Houston medical specialists to share information and advances in patient care; he also donates his time and talents to the Special Olympics, United Cerebral Palsy and Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
