Words cannot explain how pleased I am with my improved eyesight. I am free of contact lenses and glasses and can see perfectly both near and far.
For over thirty years I have worn glasses or contacts to correct my distance vision. As I got older I started having difficulty reading fine print… I refused to wear bi-focals…Putting on and taking off glasses all day to adjust my vision became annoying and impractical.
Several family members, friends and colleagues had chosen Lasik to correct their vision. I decided that I deserved to have perfect vision too. Accepting nothing but the best when it comes to my eyes, I did my research of the many doctors and practices that perform this procedure in the Boston area…
I chose Dr. Sheth because he is affiliated with a well established practice that has served Boston area patients for many years. He is a highly trained Ophthalmologist as well as a Cornea and Refractive Surgery Specialist. After my initial meeting, I was told there was a better option than Lasik surgery for me. He introduced me to the idea of having Refractive Lens Exchange Surgery which would give me both distance and up-close vision…I trusted Dr. Sheth completely.
Now I have better than 20/20 vision for distance and I can read super fine print without difficulty. In addition, I will never suffer from cataracts since I have new lenses that will never get cloudy…I highly recommend Dr. Sheth and his associates at the Sheth Horsley Eye Center for anyone considering Refractive Lens Exchange or any other corrective eye surgery. Having this surgery has greatly improved my life.

The multifocal lens that you implanted in my right eye earlier this year has made all the difference in the world in my life. Now when I play golf, I can follow the flight of the ball (it was blurry before). In addition, when I am filming a movie or a TV commercial, it is so easy to read the script. I could have used this procedure when I was wrestling in the WWF I would have known how many opponents were coming at me!
I would recommend you without hesitation to any individual that is considering this procedure. Thank you for being such an excellent ophthalmologist!

Words can't explain the feeling of being able to see without glasses!!!! What a major improvement to my overall quality of life.
I have worn glasses since I was 3 years old. I am now in my forties and am finally free from relying on glasses…I can't stress the importance of being able to see…After being diagnosed with amblyopia (lazy eye)…I never had success with contacts so had to rely on glasses for my entire life. For years I had inquired about LASIK surgery but was always told by my doctors that I was not a candidate.
Dr. Sheth is the greatest. He spent time going over all the options, and identified which option would be the best fit for my individual situation. He helped me identify what was most important to me in terms of distance vision or close up vision. He informed me of all the benefits and risks. I rely on my sight for my livelihood, being a controller I spend a great deal of time on a computer and reading small print, so I really had to assess any risk. With Dr. Sheth's recommendation I was confident of success.
I had a lens exchange, or replacement, in each eye. Several months later, I had LASIK surgery on both eyes to make final corrections. I had my oh-wow moment days later when my husband, my two sons and I went on vacation. We went to an amusement park. It was a bright, sunny day. Everything was absolutely clear. I could actually see the faces and expressions of people coming off of the rollercoaster that was a distance away. I am so grateful that I had this opportunity to improve my vision and my life. Having eye surgery was a life-changing experience. I can't even tell you how happy I am.

to provide their patients with optimal results.
The team at Sheth-Horsley Eye Center is dedicated to providing patients throughout New England with personalized care in a family-orientated environment. Drs. Sheth and Horsley understand that undergoing cataract surgery can be an anxious time for some patients. They work closely with each individual to fully explain the chosen treatment, answer any questions and alleviate any concerns. They believe that patients who are properly educated make better decisions regarding treatment and, therefore, achieve better results.
Drs. Sheth and Horsley use modern devices to provide their patients with optimal results. During cataract surgery they remove the eye's clouded lens through a sophisticated method known as phacoemulsification. This advanced technique requires a tiny incision on the surface of the cornea, which is sealed by the eye's natural outward pressure, eliminating the need for stitches or needles. Once the clouded lens (cataract) is removed, the skilled surgeons of Sheth-Horsley Eye Center carefully implant an artificial lens to improve the patient's vision. The type of implant is determined based on the patient's specific vision needs. When performed by an experienced refractive surgeon, cataract surgery is a safe, effective and permanent procedure, with most patients reporting improved vision within hours following surgery.
