"The main thing that I had to deal with as a teacher with the cataracts was having the cloudiness from the cataract blur...The treatment, the professionalism at Dr. Hollingshead's office was really outstanding. They took care of all my fears immediately...As a teacher, having this surgery has made me more relaxed in the classroom because I know that I'm aware of everything that's going on in the classroom and I don't have to worry about the clouds suddenly appearing on one eye or the other and blocking my vision...it's so much easier now." Carol
"...Before I had the cataract surgery I had trouble seeing to build my radio control airplanes, I had trouble seeing invoices at work to read the numbers to get them right, I had trouble with tying flies – I tie flies for fishing.
I had to wear glasses from the time I was 12 or 13 till the time I had cataract surgery. That's fifty-five years of being miserable and having glasses that are like the bottom of a coke bottle, they're heavy, they're uncomfortable. Now that I have had the cataract surgery, everything is easier. I can see everything, I can do everything I can see far off, I can see up close, and I just don't have any problems seeing things now.
I'd just like to say about Dr. Hollingshead that he's a very very good surgeon, he's very professional, he cares about his patients, he's not just there for money. He called me after the surgery for each eye to see how I was doing. This is after hours, when he should have been home, and he was concerned about whether or not I was doing well. I'm ecstatic about this whole thing to tell you the truth!" Richard
