Jacqueline D. Griffiths, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with more than 15 years of experience who has helped thousands of patients obtain clearer vision. Due to her outstanding surgical skills and dedication to excellence, Dr. Griffiths has been selected as one of "America's Top Ophthalmologists" by the Consumer's Research Council of America and voted "Top Doctor" by Washingtonian and Health and Beauty magazines. In addition, she has been featured as an expert in ophthalmology on several television outlets, including News Channel 8 and Channel 9 News Now.
Dr. Griffiths performs cataract surgery using the advanced "no-stitch" technique, which promotes higher levels of patient comfort and faster recovery periods. She begins the procedure by creating a small, self-sealing incision in the eye. Next, she extracts the clouded lens and replaces it with a high-quality intraocular lens implant (IOL). She offers a number of premium IOLs, including the multifocal ReSTOR and ReZoom lenses, which improve the eye's ability to focus on near and distant objects, and Toric lenses, which are designed to treat astigmatism. She also provides limbal-relaxing incisions to treat patients with astigmatism.

In addition to cataract surgery, New View Eye Center offers LASIK, EpiLase, photorefractive keratectomy (PRK), NearVision conductive keratoplasty (CK), general ophthalmology services and cosmetic procedures, including eyelid surgery, Botox injections and Latisse, as well as cosmetic fillers, such a Radiesse, Restylane and Cosmoderm.
