Dr. Feiz performs the advanced "no-stitch" cataract surgery procedure, which promotes higher levels of safety and patient comfort. He begins the procedure by creating a small, self-sealing incision in the eye. He then removes the cataract using ultrasound. The lens is replaced with an intraocular lens implant (IOL), an artificial implant that replaces the eye's natural lens. Dr. Feiz offers the most sophisticated IOLs available today, many of which can allow patients to see clearly at multiple distances.

More About Vahid Feiz, MD

Vahid Feiz, MD, earned his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Feiz completed his ophthalmology residency at Boston University School of Medicine and continued his training with a cornea and refractive fellowship at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and has been a medical board examiner in San Francisco for several years.
