Cataract Surgery – Serving patients seeking cataract removal surgery in Dubai and the surrounding area

With more than 30 years of international eye care experience, the ophthalmologists of Ebsaar Eye Surgery Center Dubai are highly esteemed in their field. Dr. Hani Sakla, Dr. Mohammad Abdulhafez, Dr. Wassim Altroudi, Dr. Yara Lteif and Dr. Gonzalo Munoz have participated in the development of both cataract removal and LASIK treatments around the world. The surgeons draw upon this expansive eye care expertise when performing cataract removal surgery with premium intraocular lens implants (IOLs), as well as LASIK and a host of other eye care services, to provide patients with outstanding vision correction results .

The Dubai cataract surgery providers at Ebsaar Eye Surgery Center perform the "micro-incision, no-stitch" cataract surgery procedure whenever possible. Before starting surgery, they administer topical anesthetic drops to the eye so that the patient does not feel anything during the cataract removal procedure. They start the surgery by making a small incision on the surface of the cornea. Through this incision, they access and break up the patient's cloudy lens into minute pieces. The eye surgeons next gently flush away the pieces prior to inserting an IOL through the original incision. The IOL allows patients to see clearly following the surgical procedure. After cataract removal surgery, the incision in the cornea will naturally repair itself without a need for sutures.

Cataract removal surgery is typically painless, and it is relatively quick. The entire surgery lasts approximately 15 to 30 minutes for both eyes. Individuals who have undergone cataract surgery can generally return to their normal routine the day following the procedure. Following cataract surgery at Ebsaar Eye Surgery Center, patients usually notice improved vision at a variety of distances, and they often remark that they no longer have to rely on daily eyewear.

Aside from cataract removal surgery, the eye surgeons at Ebsaar Eye Surgery Center also provide OptiLASIK™ laser LASIK; treatment of chronic dry eye, diabetic eye complications, glaucoma, keratoconus and many additional eye conditions; blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery); and general optical services.
