Cataract surgery in Palm Beach and Delray Beach

Dr. Steven M. Litinsky, Dr. Steven I. Rosenfeld, Dr. Daniel A. Jewelewicz, and Dr. Marc Winnick are board-certified ophthalmologists with fellowship training who specialize in refractive cataract surgery. Their state-of-the-art eye care facility, Delray Eye Associates, is a comprehensive eye care facility serving patients in Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton and all of South Florida.

The cataract surgeons at Delray Eye Associates are extremely well educated and trained, having attended some of the nation's most renowned medical schools and ophthalmology programs, including the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Medical School, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, and the Harkness Eye Pavilion at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. The surgeons each hold faculty positions at local medical schools — Drs. Rosenfeld and Winnick serving on the clinical faculty of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Drs. Litinsky and Jewelewicz holding faculty positions at Florida Atlantic University School of Medicine. They also author scientific articles, are involved with teaching, and lecture to ophthalmologists throughout the country. In addition, they have been listed in publications such as Best Doctors in America, Florida Super Doctors, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.

At Delray Eye Associates, the cataract surgeons perform small incision "no stitch" cataract surgery with FDA-approved IOLs (intraocular lens implants), including accommodating, multifocal, and toric lens implants. The surgeons begin this sophisticated procedure by making a tiny, self-sealing incision in the eye, through which they are able to extract the cataract. The eye's lens is then replaced with an IOL. Delray Eye Associates offers a number of the latest intraocular lens implants, including ReZoom, AcrySof ReSTOR, Crystalens and Tecnis Multifocal. People with astigmatism may benefit from the AcrySof Toric IOL or from an incision called a limbal-relaxing incision. Patients who have cataract surgery at Delray Eye Associates are typically able to achieve clear vision at various distances without the need for glasses or contact lenses.

In addition to cataract surgery experts, Delray Eye Associates has specialists in all other subspecialties of ophthalmology. Delray Eye Associates provides the full spectrum of eye care services, including:

  • Cataract surgery
  • LASIK
  • PRK
  • Corneal transplant surgery

  • Glaucoma surgery
  • Diagnosis and management of retinal diseases (diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, retinal tears and detachments, macular degeneration)
