At Delray Eye Associates, the cataract surgeons perform small incision "no stitch" cataract surgery with FDA-approved IOLs (intraocular lens implants), including accommodating, multifocal, and toric lens implants. The surgeons begin this sophisticated procedure by making a tiny, self-sealing incision in the eye, through which they are able to extract the cataract. The eye's lens is then replaced with an IOL. Delray Eye Associates offers a number of the latest intraocular lens implants, including ReZoom, AcrySof ReSTOR, Crystalens and Tecnis Multifocal. People with astigmatism may benefit from the AcrySof Toric IOL or from an incision called a limbal-relaxing incision. Patients who have cataract surgery at Delray Eye Associates are typically able to achieve clear vision at various distances without the need for glasses or contact lenses.
In addition to cataract surgery experts, Delray Eye Associates has specialists in all other subspecialties of ophthalmology. Delray Eye Associates provides the full spectrum of eye care services, including:
