Dr. Karageozian also teaches cataract surgery, and has co-founded two biotechnology companies to research and develop revolutionary treatments for various eye conditions. Dr. Fahd adds a unique engineering background to the extraordinary Clarity Eye Group team. Previously an investigator for NASA, Dr. Fahd redirected his talents toward refractive and cataract surgery. In recognition of his exceptional surgical skills, Dr. Fahd has been listed in the prestigious Marquis directory, Who's Who in Medicine.
The Orange County cataract surgery providers at Clarity Eye Group perform advanced "no-stitch" cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens implants (IOLs) that also correct for astigmatism. This method allows the surgeons to extract clouded lenses and replace them with either multifocal or "accommodating" IOLs. AcrySof ReSTOR and Tecnis Multifocal IOLs can improve distance and near vision, as well as treat presbyopia. Crystalens, the first FDA-approved accommodating intraocular lens, improves the eye's ability to change focus from near to far objects, and enhances clarity of vision. With these premium IOLs, many patients are able to achieve crystal-clear vision without eye glasses or contact lenses.
In addition to cataract surgery, the surgical team provides phakic intraocular lens implants to treat patients who are not candidates for LASIK surgery. Phakic IOLs are placed over the eyes' natural lenses and treat nearsightedness or farsightedness. Clarity Eye Group also offers Visian ICLs and Verisyse to help patients achieve clear vision without glasses.

"Almost one year ago Dr. Fahd performed my cataract surgery with the AcrySof ReSTOR lens implants in both eyes. I wanted to let you know how happy I am that I chose the AcrySof ReSTOR multifocal lens implants. After the adjustment period of three to four months, I can read, watch TV and drive without glasses. It's amazing! Thank you Dr. Fahd and all of Clarity Eye Group for the personal and professional care you always provide." Margaret
"It's a rare occasion when I'm at a loss for words, but words cannot express my thanks to Dr. Kaplan for giving me "new eyes". You have a gift and I can't thank you enough for sharing that gift with me. Your personal attention made the experience exciting, rather than frightening, and I never worried if I had made the right choice.
The pre-exam/post-op services were thorough and comforting, instructing me every step of the way. Thank you for your professionalism, your team's gracious manner during office visits, your tender care the day of surgery. I am proud to share your name with my friends and co-workers. Dr. Kaplan, thank you and your entire staff at Clarity Eye Group for the gift of improved sight. God bless you." Evelyn
